what's the most beautiful thing that's ever happened to you?
I just wrote about 300 words to answer this question and when I re-read it to respond I erased it all because I realized that the most beautiful thing hat has ever happened to me has been the opportunity of a second chance at life at such an early age and being able to share that new life with my most beloved friends and family members.

what makes you most sad and would you like to change about the world?
Many things make me well not exactly sad but more angry than sad... and a few of them start with the letter "I": injustice, inequality, ignorance, impotence, false idols (delusions of grandeur), deception, lies, fanaticism. I bet if we eliminated these we would have a much more unified world. In my opinion we would live in a much better place if we thought outside ourselves and had a lot more empathy and understanding of things and much less or just no apathy and deliberate ignorance.

I actually put a lot of thought into this question and I would consider myself to be a combination of many songs by one same band called Incubus (this was my favorite band since like seventh grade or even before... I still do love them but I'm into much heavier stuff nowadays but this band introduced me to metaphor riddled lyrics and pretty much in part defined my worldly views and went along with my opinions) and their songs are "Pardon Me", "Warning", "Crow Left of the Murder", "Pistola", "Consequence", "Nowhere fast", "The Warmth", "While All the Vultures Feed", "Redefine" and "Just a Phase". So out of the 266 songs this band has those 10 songs would pretty much describe an essence of who I am. How's that for an answer, Anita? :S :D

Well to be honest (and my friends know this) I tend to be the dominant one in both the physical and the emotional. So, it really gets me when a man can handle me in both physical and emotional ways, that he can compete with me. I do like to be very rough but its mostly based on passion and desire. So if the person has passion, desire and can try to control me its a HUGE turn on. In simple terms this can be defined by an example... but I can't really say that example on facebook (I got family in here) this is as honest as Imma be in here :D

This one is about relationships...
Many of my friends know my stand in relationships and marriage by now... But if you don't know here it is...
I believe you can be in a healthy committed relationship with someone you really love, it can all start as a friendship and develop into something more only if you are able to tolerate enough of each other's bullshit to have a fairly decent time. I believe that in that relationship you should have respect, tolerance, patience, sex, open communication, sex, time apart from each other, sex, good time with friends, sex and even more sex. But that's just my opinion.
Now, when it comes to marriage I believe marriage is a business and I would only marry if that benefits both my partner and of course me. Marriage is a social union that involves a legal contract between two individuals or parties (if the family becomes involved)... just like business.
Now point here is to help me, help you, so that you can help me... get it?

Okay in other words let me ask you... Are women being too demanding or is it that we know our worth? Can men really be that immature, selfish and naive? Or is it that women are even more immature, selfish and naive? Is it really that hard to find a decent looking guy with his heart in the right place who's funny, romantic or thoughtful, a hard working, faithful man who's intelligent?! Or is it that I'm being too demanding/picky here? Doesn't a guy want that too?
A girl who is good looking, funny, smart, well grounded who can basically be not only a girlfriend but one of your best friends? Your confidant?
I would love a guy with whom I can watch stupid movies, watch wrestling or sports or play video games but also to be able to have sex and talk about European history simultaneously (get it I want him to be well cultured too...) but also when I need him to hug me 'cause I'm on my period or something, he will be the first one to be there hug me and I don't know... make dead baby jokes or whatever.
I don't long to find "true love" any more... because here's the deal: if its love and you both feel love then its true, that's all there is to it but just finding that connection, finding that passion, that desire; not only for each other but for life, for living, for having an awesome time, for laughing till everything hurts whether it is for an hour, a week, a year, or even hopefully for a life time just having that... just a guy that interests me again, tickles my brain and gives me butterflies, someone who picks on my curiosity... I don't know if I'm being too picky here but I really hope someone understands... All I know is that I love that feeling and I also miss it too. I want to fell like that again... I want to get nervous and act foolishly around that guy. I want to hold hands and kiss every time we feel like it . . .
Like a good friend once wrote to me : "I am by no means perfect. I'm wound up, stubborn, slow to trust, I don't prioritize myself, dislike help even with people that know me for years. I'm working on that, I'm working on a lot of things. I'm pretty hell bent that this will be a new chapter of my life, a different one. Mask on top of masks until I've completely lost what's underneath. I don't even know where I'm going with this I guess just expressing mirror thoughts, you are right to look for a deeper bond in love."
That's exactly how I feel and pretty much how I am I have positive and negative qualities. But that is exactly what I ask for... not the perfect man but a man with positive and negatives qualities that accepts himself for who and how he is and accepts me who and how I am. That's what I ask for.
I want my cake and eat it too.

Thoughts on dieting...
Okay, so today I officially just started "the diet" which basically means: "Ámbar CONTROL YOURSELF!". As a natural born foodie, I of course love food and I love trying new recipes, modifications, flavors, etc. But one thing I am most certain of is that as both a Chef and as a person I hate diet foods (that and I find pretty embarrassing to do these fad diets in the environment I'm in) . Those "fat-free", low sodium, low calorie, low sugar, air incorporated tasteless products such as Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig, and other food disaster diets my mother has tried over the years.
But today I finally decided (and by "I" I mean my mother) to go on one of these "fad"diets because well I want to lose a few pounds and sometimes even a Chef is too lazy to cook in their own kitchen and orders up something from the Chinese place a couple of blocks away after a long day of work.
One thing is true and that is that I needed some positive reinforcement and talked it over with my mother and decided to try the Nutrisystem thing. There's also this pretty cool blog my cousin started dealing with these issues http://wannalookgoodnaked.blogspot.com/ and that's a cool link to visit.
So in the end this is the beginning to a new lifestyle and once again another transformation yet again is in process I just wanted to share some scattered thoughts on my opinions...

It all came from a suggestion...
So I finally decided to enter the world of "blogging". Many times friends and family have suggested to me to do a blog... but my question was a blog about what?
The question still stood for many years and the answer finally is... a blog about things I find amusing and/or funny. . . right? No.
So I kept thinking to myself and finally decided that...
This blog is for the people who love friends, family, life, and of course good food!
I should mention the "why" for the title of this blog... I named it "Ex-junkie" because I recently decided to eat less "junk" food and more "good"food and I found it more than appropriate to name my blog "Ex-junkie" so, no more "junk" for me (no mas junk!). Plus, I find the word "junk" pretty funny as almost everything else in life... "its all a little funny". :)
So I kindly welcome you to my newest project. I do hope you enjoy it.
